About

Siwe is a 17 year-old-student living and attending school in Khayelitsha — an informal settlement on the outskirts of Cape Town, South Africa. Through her work with Equal Education, she has become increasingly aware of the sanitation crisis in her community and other informal settlements.

In this film, follow Siwe on a journey as she meets other young people living in Khayelitsha and explores issues of sanitation and service delivery.

The students also created this film guide to accompany the documentary with relevant literature and guiding questions.
